Possible new achievements for in Eleven

edited December 2015 in Ideas
I was thinking that for those hardcore players that strive for the toughest of achievements, Eleven could have an achievement for petting, watering, harvesting from every single tree in all of Ur at least once (or it could be divided up in to seperate achievements for each type of tree). And another for planting a bean in every patch in Ur (not including homestreets of course). So instead of trying to just explore every street there is, there would be tougher tasks. I guess this would only work if the game can tell when a player has interacted with a certain trant and that the stats would be for the permanent trant space rather than whatever tree is in the patch. I don't know enough about how the mechanics of it all work to know if it can do that. There could also be achievements for mining every dullite / metal / sparkly / beryl rock down to a nub. Maybe like the explorer badges, there could be one for each area and then a trophy for achieving every area? Although it wouldn't work for animals that are changeable / die etc, but maybe there could be achievements for feeding every sloth. Scooping every jellisac patch, barnacle patch, ice nubbin, dig every dirt patch, harvest every peat bog. With the peat bog, there could be a hidden much more difficult achievement to have emptied every peat bog - might make for a good achievement for people to do in a group. There could be a trophy for gaining every achievement available for a certain area e.g. you have pet, watered, harvested, dug, mined, scooped, scraped and fed all that there is to pet, water, harvest, dig, mine, scoop, scrape and feed in Groddle Forest (yes i know ... no sloths, jellisacs etc etc in groddle forest I just picked the first area to pop in to my head!!!!) One could go even further, if how the game stores information allows for it, and have lots of achievements that are achieved by doing things with others. Mined every sparkly rock in Pollokoo with at least one other glitch. Scraped every barnacle in Shimla Mirch with at least one other glitch etc. The possibilites are (almost) endless.... if they turn out to be possible at all!!!

I do like the idea though that if you get say the achievement for mining sparkly for every area that is available for, that it earns you a trophy ... or maybe just another achievement ... maybe it would be too many trophies otherwise :)

Edit: Just realised, of course, it couldn't be seperated in to different types of trees as they are ever changing! Silly me :)

1 ) I always thought I should get an achievement for singing to butterflies, but I never did (that I can recall) . If there truly is not one, then I would like one please. ;) Maybe at number of butterflies :
11, 71, 311 and 521 . Maybe they could have silly names like
    Singer O' Cobalt Wings
    Skipper Songster
    Papilio Performer
    Lepidoptera Cantor

***EDIT ** I had some free time, looked it up , and there WERE badges for some animal interactions . Sorry , I could not remember them, here's the link :
    http://www.glitchthegame.com/achievements/animals/
So there were badges for : massage butterflies, hugging chickens, nibble on pigs, making animal eggs , raising the eggs of butterfly, chick, and piggy to adults, fox brushing and sloth feeding.
SO , maybe per @b3achy we could add hellikitty petting, and some of the other suggestions posted here ! ;)
*wipes egg off face, and goes back to wandering to meeblethorp *
  • And if you get them for singing to butterflies, then you need to get them for petting helikitties too (and for buttering up chickens)! :)

All of these are great ideas! I wholeheartedly agree that we need some extended / long term player achievements and should get achievements for all animal interactions like we get with them for all trant interactions.

I like these ideas. @serenitycat's titles for butterfly singing are great!

I think some added achievements (like @serenitycat and @b3achy's ideas there) would give players more incentive to use those interactions with animals, too. I know not everyone is out to get achievements, but I know lots do enjoy them (me included).
  • How about visiting and interacting with all the paper trees in one game day? It requires careful planning as there are some in the Ancestral Lands
  • These are all fantastic ideas! I'd also love to see more cooking/eating achievements (maybe ingredient based?) and maybe some combined with social aspects (giving grilled cheese to others, etc.) Once we have home streets again, it would also be nice to have more achievements encouraging people to be good neighbors (more restoration achievements, for example, or achievements for watering/petting people's trees or animals, like pet the same pig on x consecutive days, etc.)
  • I think there's already an achievement for interacting with all spices—such as pinching cinnamon and such—and maybe there's one for eating planks...

But if there's not one for eating planks, I'd like to suggest one for eating planks. Maybe several.
  • Yes, there is an achievement for interacting with the spices. Surprisingly, there is no achievement for interacting with the fruit, but not all fruit have cute interactions (which would be nice to add), nor the vegetables.
  • I think there should be one for being a hoarder of cubimals, I was thinking of designing a shirt with all the cubimals and doing a spoof of gotta catch em all, cubimals instead of pokemon.
  • Maybe @Jessenya already has designed something as she was a BIG cubi addict. ;)
Maybe they could make badges/achieves for number of cubis collected ??

  • How about talking to NPCs (like the rocks, trees, etc) - they seem awfully chatty and it would be fun to have an achievement string relating to them
  • I always wanted the Poo Flinger badge for fertilizing.
  • is there badges for fertildusting ( ie saving trees from death) ?? treant duster badges ?
  • What about playing all the mundane music blocks to all the crabs?
  • Maybe a badge for acquiring all of the giant's icons? Or for racing cubimals a certain number of timess (10; 50; 100). It would be nice to have more rook related badges as well, like defeat it a certain numbers of times; failure in repeling it; defeat the rook with a group of people.
  • Maybe there could be an achievement for dying a certain amount of times. It could be called "Trisor Lover" or something...
Is there an achievement for that? I'll check...
  • @Envy - there are multiple achievements for visiting Hell already ;)

    See:
    Clumsy
    Darwin Award Winner
    Necromonger
    Zombie
    Dracula

    Okay thanks :D @b3achy
    I feel stupid now....
  • How about one for feeding one of every food to a bat!

It could be called "Guano Master". There is a pun in there somewhere.

I'd like to suggest changing Achievements into something such as Pins or Badges. They're still functionally achievements, but you can put three on a Sash in your iMG menu, which activates the effect of any one that is pinned there so long as it's there. Every Achievement Pin/Badge has its own effect.

In order to make just switching out Pins/Badges as needed depending on what one is doing less effective, there can be a cooldown on a sash slot if an Achievement on it is switched out, after which the Achievement will activate.

Perhaps the Sash starts out with just one slot, but you can add new slots with Upgrade Cards, to a maximum of maybe eleven total slots? Seems like a little much, but eh. Might work out depending on the effects.

Here are a few possible Achievement Pin/Badge effects:

Rainbow Taster: +5% iMG from all sno cones
Rainbow Brite: +7% iMG from all sno cones
The Rainbo Connection: +11% iMG from all sno cones
Uralia Completionist: +11% Energy Efficiency in and teleporting to Uralia
Twinkle-Toed Trap Triggerer: +11 seconds in Ancestral Lands
    Dust-Busting Trigger-Trappist: +23 seconds in Ancestral Lands
    Trigger-Happy Trap-Duster: +41 seconds in Ancestral Lands
Giant Lover: +11% favor gain with every Giant
    Novice Novitiate: +3% learning rate
    So-So Supplicator: +7% learning rate
    High-Ranking Supplicant: +13% learning rate
    Shriner Forty-Niner: +23% learning rate
Paper Plucker: +1 Paper from Paper Trees
Sheet Snatcher: +2 Paper from Paper Trees
Pad Pincher: +3 Paper from Paper Trees
Parchment Purloiner: +5 Paper from Paper Trees
You Have Papers!: +11% efficiency in the art of getting nothing accomplished via convoluted means
Pennypincher: +5% currants from quoins, quest rewards, and level up bonuses
Moneybags: +11% currants from quoins, quest rewards, and level up bonuses
Lovable Skinflint: +17% currants from quoins, quest rewards, and level up bonuses
Perseverating Dipsomaniac: +7% mood gain when Buzzed
    First Eleven: +3% learning rate
  • @Seeen, you are clearly the new Keita!

Sashes could likely also bring with them some Achievements of their own, allowing you to get more Pins/Badges by using and getting Pins/Badges.

    For example...
Beginner Sash Stasher: Wear three Pins/Badges on your Sash at one time. Gives a 1% boost to all other effects currently on your Sash.
Intermediate Sash Stasher: Wear five Pins/Badges on your Sash at one time. Gives a 2% boost to all other effects currently on your Sash.
Expert Sash Stasher: Wear seven Pins/Badges on your Sash at one time. Gives a 3% boost to all other effects currently on your Sash.
Sashtronomer Extraordinaire: Wear eleven Pins/Badges on your Sash at one time. Gives an 7% boost to all other effects currently on your Sash.
Sash to the Max(sh): Upgrade your Sash to the maximum level of eleven slots. Gives a 5% boost to all other effects currently on your Sash.
Sash Specialist, Level One: Wear three Pins/Badges on your Sash that all give bonuses to the same effect. Gives a 2% boost to any other effect with the most Pins/Badges contributing to it on your Sash.
Sash Specialist, Level Two: Wear five Pins/Badges on your Sash that all give bonuses to the same effect. Gives a 5% boost to any other effect with the most Pins/Badges contributing to it on your Sash.
Sash Specialist, Level Three: Wear seven Pins/Badges on your Sash that all give bonuses to the same effect. Gives a 7% boost to any other effect with the most Pins/Badges contributing to it on your Sash.
Sash Savantism: Wear eleven Pins/Badges on your Sash that all give bonuses to the same effect. (Wow!) Gives a 11% boost to any other effect with the most Pins/Badges contributing to it on your Sash.
Just For Show: Wear nothing but Pins/Badges that have no effect whatsoever, such as the You Have Papers! one. Does nothing, but at least it looks nice.
Well-Rounded, Edged Class: Wear five Pins/Badges on your Sash that each give a different type of bonus. Gives a 5% boost to any other effect that has only one Pin or Badge contributing to it.
Well-Rounded, Rough Class: Wear seven Pins/Badges on your Sash that each give a different type of bonus. Gives a 7% boost to any other effect that only has one Pin or Badge contributing to it.
Well-Rounded, Smooth Class: Wear eleven Pins/Badges on your Sash that each give a different type of bonus. Gives an 11% boost to any other effect that only has one Pin or Badge contributing to it.
